The city of Birmingham Alabama lies just to the North less than 10 miles away.
If you look at Highway 65 you will see that Blue Ridge Estates is South of Lakeshore Parkway and North of Highway 31, also called Highway 3 or Montgomery Highway.

Blue Ridge Estates is a subdivision in Blue Ridge, Alabama. It is East off of Highway 231 or Wetumpka Highway. It is just to the North of Willow Springs.
It looks like it is one way in and one way out. The Canyon Road loops around in a circle with just one little side road. It is not connected with Blue Ridge Road or Jasmine Hill Road.
It’s on a steep hill just above the 200′ line. This is just on the edge of the Blue Ridge.
The closest state park is the Fort Toulouse State Historical Park which is just Northwest up the Tallapoosa River. Blue Ridge Estates is above the flood plain.

Blue Ridge in Western Shasta County is sitting in a pretty high crowd. Paradise Peak is part of the ridge, making up the Southern tip. Bully Choop Mountain is just to the West of Paradise Peak is almost 7000′ above sea level.
This Blue Ridge can be seen from I-5, Southern Redding, Anderson, Cottonwood and especially Igo and Ono.
This is just in Shasta county because on the other side of the ridge is Trinity County. There is a white knuckle road that goes along Blue Ridge called East County Line Road. Make sure you have plenty of gas, water and know how to drive a 4WD.
The North Fork of Cotton Creek flows from the top of Blue Ridge. This used to go down a creek called Rushing Creek but since they dammed it up at Rainbow Lake the Rushing Creek does not rush anymore.
