In the mountains North of Los Angeles, in the Northern part of the mountains is a ridge called Blue Ridge.
It is South of Highway 138 and closest to the town of Wrightwood. It is South of Highway 2 also called Big Pines Highway and also called Angles Crest Scenic Byway.
Blue Ridge is the ridge you see to the South when you are in the city of Wrightwood
The road that runs to this Blue Ridge in Los Angeles County is NF-3N06. It is only about three and a half miles off of Highway 2. So if you are taking the Angeles Crest Scenic Byway, turn Southeast about five and a half mile out of Wrightwood onto NF-3N06, total trip time should be less than an hour from Wrightwood. NF-3N06 runs the ridge line so the view is fantastic.
This is the only Blue Ridge off of the Angeles Crest Scenic Byway.
